Cities have always been hubs where spatial activities and social processes intensify. They concentrate production and service industries, global financial flows, societal debates and conflicts, as well as cultural innovations.
As a result, cities play a key role in shaping and transforming socio-spatial conditions in today’s globalized world.
The Master’s program Urban Geographies – Human Geography introduces various approaches and perspectives that contemporary geography uses to understand the complexity of urban phenomena and processes.
It focuses on research-based teaching to provide in-depth and specialized knowledge in urban geography, along with methodological competencies.
