Master of Education Geography (MEd) #

The Berlin Geography Didactics focuses on research in international comparative educational research (particularly curricula and educational media) as well as the history of geography and school geography. Additional areas of interest include Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and scientific education in geography (handling uncertainties, Nature of Science, and students’ conceptions of soil). The program is designed in close collaboration with the second phase of teacher training in the state of Berlin and various partner schools. Research and teaching are carried out by a team with expertise in both academic geography and school practice. Each year, the Geography Didactics department, in cooperation with the Association for School Geography Berlin-Brandenburg and the subject supervision of the Senate, organizes the Berlin Geography Afternoon.
