Hey! My name is Gabri, and I am a young researcher committed to become a conservation scientist, with a great interest in large mammals. My journey began with designing non-invasive methodologies of detecting large mammals, and I have since delved into the critical role of considering social variables in ecological research. Now, my research interests progress towards a greater understanding of human and wildlife coexistence. Specifically, I am exploring how human actions are shaping ecological dynamics and redefining the modern species’ ecological role.
My interests include spatial ecology, ecological monitoring and applied ecology to solve conservation problems. Moreover, I am also working with WWF to contribute to the conservation of the European Bison and to better understand the outcomes of this rewilding effort.
