Pedro Fernandez

Postdoctoral scientist

My name is Pedro Fernandez, and I am a land-use and sustainability scientist working in the Conservation Biogeography Lab. My main interests are understanding cattle ranching as land system and improving the assessments on environmental and productive metrics at larger scales. Also, I am very interested in mapping intensification processes in agricultural landscapes. My work spans several disciplines, as sustainability issues require, but my perspective is always close to those who work on the land in different ways. I enjoy working closely with land managers, understanding the perspective of food producers and helping them improve the environmental performance of their farms.
